Many people told me that this movie was really good. Usually,
this kind of praise raises my expectations for a movie and
it ends up not meeting them. But, this movie was still terribly
entertaining. Let's examine why this movie kept me watching
and loving it...
- Johnny Depp. He always seems to choose diverse, badass
roles, and he has done it again. His portrayal of Captin
Jack Sparrow was priceless. No one could have done it better.
He gives a humorous, intelligent and all around entertaining
performance.
- Keira Knightley. Thank God she has been deemed worthy
and is being cast in more movies. She plays the beautiful
girl in need of rescue, though, she doesn't just sit around
complaining that she broke a goddamn nail and actually kicks
some ass with the boys.
- Special effects, costumes, script, characters, cinamatography...all
the ingrediants were perfect.
This movie is definitely one to see in the theater. If you
haven't already, get your ass off your couch or skip work
and/or school today and go see it.
